What do you do?

I’m a floral designer. I’ve been in the floral business for 37 years, 15 of those as the owner of my floral shop.

What inspired you to start your business?

I learned the business as a high school co-op student and then opened my own store.

What is your relationship with SCORE? SCORE client What influenced you to seek help from SCORE?

SCORE participated in a community grant program (NJ Neighborhood Preservation Project)  that I was a recipient of.

How SCORE helped.

SCORE has been a God send. They helped me establish an online presence, revamp my website, and extend my community outreach. All of which have proven to be successful in drawing in more business.

What would you tell a fellow business owner about SCORE?

Make a clear plan and do as much research as possible on the type of business you’re looking to open. Be fearless and get yourself a “Pat”  or "Gulhan" from SCORE. Their advice and suggestions have helped me tremendously.
